Nauman Khalid
Founder and President
Nauman Khalid is a seasoned leader in the construction industry with over 15 years of experience delivering high-impact projects. As the Co-Founder and President of Verdicon Builders, Nauman applies his extensive expertise in construction management to drive efficient project execution, cost-effective solutions, and seamless collaboration with clients and consultants.
With a Master’s degree in International Project Management specializing in Construction Management, Economics, and Finance, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Building and Architectural Engineering, Nauman combines technical proficiency with strategic leadership. His career highlights include leading some of Ontario’s most complex developments, such as a 1.1 million sq. ft. design-build project that earned a nomination for Development of the Year.
His commitment to innovation and industry excellence was recently recognized when he was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders in 2024. Driven by a passion for excellence, Nauman is dedicated to building better communities, delivering outstanding results, and fostering a collaborative environment that empowers clients, teams, and stakeholders alike.

Johnny Makdidi
Director of Construction
Johnny is a hands-on, results-oriented Construction Manager with 25 years of experience in the construction industry. His background spans project management, site supervision, and site engineering, giving him a well-rounded understanding of every stage of the construction process.
As a versatile project leader, Johnny brings practical field insight, technical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering successful outcomes for clients and project teams. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a CPM Certificate from George Brown College, and a Gold Seal Project Manager Certificate from the Canadian Construction Association.
Amjad Jbour
Senior Superintendent
Amjad brings over 30 years of global structural engineering and construction management experience to the Verdicon team. This includes 14 years managing major construction projects in the UAE and a background as a structural engineer with the Arab American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia, and over 12 years of proven site leadership in the Canadian market.
Amjad holds a Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering from Damascus University (earned in 1992) and has completed advanced project management training at the University of Toronto.
In his role as Senior Site Superintendent at Verdicon, Amjad’s main responsibilities include leading daily on-site operations, managing complex schedules, tracking construction budgets, ensuring code compliance, and coordinating Verdicon’s field teams to deliver high-quality projects safely.
Ricardo Wilson
Assistant Site Superintendent
Ricardo Wilson is a construction professional with over 20 years of international experience spanning Jamaica and Canada. He combines deep field expertise with advanced capabilities in construction management, Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital project delivery, and applied construction technologies. Ricardo holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Construction Management, a Master’s degree in Global BIM Management, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Applied to Construction.
As Assistant Site Superintendent at Verdicon Builders, Ricardo plays a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects across both field and administrative functions. He collaborates closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project delivery aligned with quality and performance standards.
His responsibilities include managing project documentation and controls through Procore, overseeing RFIs, submittals, and drawing revisions, coordinating procurement activities, supporting quality assurance processes, and assisting with site operations, inspections, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination. By integrating hands-on construction experience with advanced technical and digital expertise, Ricardo strengthens alignment between site execution and project management, enabling consistent delivery of high-quality construction outcomes.
Usman Khalid
Assistant Project Manager
Usman has over 6 years of experience in the construction and real estate industry, working on a range of residential and commercial projects. As an Assistant Project Manager at Verdicon Builders, he supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
His responsibilities include project planning & scheduling, budget management, progress tracking & reporting, documentation control, procurement & tendering, and contract administration. Usman works closely with site teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered efficiently while meeting schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Usman holds a Construction Engineering diploma from George Brown College, providing him with a strong foundation in construction management and project delivery.
Ali Asad Barlas
Accountant
Ali Barlas has over 6 years of accounting experience in the construction and real estate industry ranging from commercial to residential projects. As the Accountant of Verdicon Builders, Ali prepares the company financial statements for stakeholders as well as other accounting duties such as accounts payable and receivable.
Ali’s expertise in project-based accounting principles allows him to monitor the ongoing progress for each construction project with accuracy. Ali provides financial analysis to evaluate the economic stability of the company and provide important insights to leadership and operations departments.
Ali has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a major in Accounting.
